PokerStars to Celebrate International Women’s Day with a Platinum Pass

This International Women’s Day, PokerStars is once again doing something special.

To support this year’s #InternationalWomensDay that takes place on March 8 every year, PokerStars will run a special ladies-only online poker tournament on its online poker platform, guaranteeing one Platinum Pass to the winner.

The winner will take home a coveted Platinum Pass worth $30,000 that includes entry to the €22,500 PSPC 2020 event scheduled to take place in Barcelona in August, six nights’ accommodation for two in a 5* hotel, PSPC merchandise, €1250 in expenses and various exclusive Platinum Pass winner experiences during the event.

The second and third-place finishers will be awarded a €1050 PSPC satellite ticket.

The buy-in for this special event will be $22 and it will be open only to female players. Participants must have their gender assigned as female in the “Settings” tab. They can also contact PokerStars Support if they require any assistance changing this setting.

Any male participant will be disqualified and will forfeit any prize with no refund provided.

“PokerStars wants to celebrate women in poker by taking a look at our women-focused offering and spicing it up, starting with dedicating a Platinum Pass to a community that regularly enjoys playing these Sunday tournaments,” said Rebecca McAdam Willetts, Associate Director of Public Relations, The Stars Group.

“We’re always out there asking questions. What can we do better? What can we change? And we like to encourage more female players to reach out to us with their feedback. One suggestion was female-focused qualifiers to live events, and what could be better than a Platinum Pass to the PSPC?” she added.

Each of the PokerStars female Team Pros and ambassadors is expected to take part in this event including Jennifer Shahade, Celina Lin and PokerStars Streamers— Eva Reberc and GJ Reggie.
