Lucky Player Turns $15 into CAD $9000 at WSOP/GGPoker Ontario

After winning a $15 satellite into the $150 GGMasters event on GGPoker Ontario, ‘R U MAD’ closed the deal & took home the win & the $8885 first-place money.

One of the best things about poker is that it’s a game that gives everyone a chance, and the events that took place over at GGPoker Ontario — which is partnered with WSOP — a few days ago reminded us of this.

A player under the username 'R U MAD’ entered a CAD $15 satellite to the operator’s staple $150 GGMasters event. With some luck and some skills, he secured a seat in the $50K guaranteed tournament, but that was just the beginning.

They then outlasted every player in the tournament and were the last person standing, bagging CAD $8,885 for their efforts!

It may not be the biggest or the most impressive story the online poker community has heard. Still, it certainly falls under the “great day at the office” category, and we are pretty sure 'R U MAD’ had nothing to be mad about after sending his last opponent to the virtual rail!

With 57 tournaments and a great variety of game types and variations, PokerStars Ontario Fall Fest brings big action and even bigger guarantees.

PokerStars Ontario is back with some tournament action as the operator’s popular Fall Fest series has made its way to the Canadian province. Following on the success of the first-ever ONCOOP, the Fall Fest series features a rich schedule with buy-ins ranging from CAD $10 to CAD $1000.

The staple of the Fall Fest, the Main Event, will offer $75,000 in guaranteed prizes for a buy-in of $200, while fans of Omaha poker can join the action in the $50 PLO Main Event, featuring a smaller but still respectable guarantee of $5000.

All major tournaments of the series have been named aptly according to the occasion. The Main Event is called The Feast, the $100 PKO event on Nov 20 is dubbed The Harvest, and a second PKO tournament on Nov 25 is listed as The Furnace.

The Fall Fest runs Nov 19 — 28, featuring close to 60 events and a good mix of poker variations beyond NLHE and PLO and promising a lot of great action for all tournament fans in Ontario!
