Tune in at PokerGO for the Conclusion of the 2023 WSOP PLO High Roller

The remaining five players will come back today to battle it out for the bracelet and $2.3 million first prize, with all the action brought to you live by PokerGO.

If you’re a fan of the Great Game of Omaha, there is a real treat for you at today’s PokerGO broadcasting schedule. The 2023 WSOP Pot Limit Omaha High Roller event will crown its champion, and you’ll have the opportunity to watch every hand, from start to finish.

The $25,000 event attracted 449 entries this year, creating a staggering prize pool of $10.5 million. That massive field (for a 25k, non-Hold’em event, at least) is now down to the last five, all of them guaranteed at least half a million for their efforts.

Chip leader to start the day is Ka Kwan Lau of Hong Kong, and he’ll have his eyes set on that $2.3 million first prize. Sergio Martinez Gonzalez of Spain and Norway’s Mads Amot are two and three in chips, but they have some work to do to catch up with Lau.

Bringing up the rear are Roger Teska and Andjelko Andrejevic, both from the US. While they are the shortest stacks to start the day, they still have more than enough blinds to work with and master a comeback with some luck.

There is plenty of play left before we have the winner in this one, which means loads of fun for everyone watching at home. Remember, the action will be streamed live at PokerGO, so head on over, subscribe using our code POKERFUSE to get 15% off the subscription, and enjoy the unparalleled WSOP 2023 coverage.

Last Chance to Win a WSOP 2023 Main Event Seat!

For players in Nevada and New Jersey the Seat Sprint promo is giving away 112 WSOP Main Event seats over the next 11 days.

If you are a Nevada or New Jersey online poker player, there is still time to grab a Main Event seat via the WSOP US Seat Sprint online path.

Unless you plan to pay $10,000 in cash for the buy-in, these Seat Sprints are your last chance to enter the WSOP 2023 Main Event at a fraction of the usual cost. It also promises to be a Main Event to remember — the organizers set the goal of drawing the largest turnout in its 54-year history, and things are on pace for it to be a record-smashing event.

“In 2022, we were just 112 players short from breaking the record for the highest WSOP Main Event in history,” the WSOP officials explained. “This year, we’re trying to make history with over 8,774 players in the Main Event.”

  • Available exclusively to WSOP New Jersey & WSOP Nevada players
  • Online path runs till July 8
  • Guarantees 112 Main Event seats through various satellites
  • Each day promises at least 10 seats
  • More than $1.1 million worth of seats will be up for grabs
  • All-In satellites will also run with no fees for buy-ins from $80 to $126
  • July 2: A special 25 Seat Scramble satellite will run
  • July 8: A last-chance drawing for the final seat takes place

Mike ‘The Mouth’ Matusow Just Misses Out on His Fifth WSOP Bracelet

Matusow came within inches of claiming a WSOP gold but couldn't get over the last obstacle between him and his fifth bracelet.

It has been ten long years since Mike Matusow captured his last bracelet, and it seemed like Lady Luck was finally ready to smile upon ‘The Mouth’ as he found himself just one opponent away from taking down a $1500 Stud8 event at the 2023 WSOP.

The win would have brought Matusow’s total bracelet count to five and probably increase his chances of being inducted into the Poker Hall of Fame this year.

Emotions were high as Mike sat down across Marcin Horecki of Poland for the final skirmish, but it seems that all the pressure got to Matusow despite his immense experience on the circuit, and he couldn’t close the deal.

‘The Mouth’ was clearly disappointed by the close call, despite of pocketing over $95,000 for his runner-up finish — a very respectable prize for a $1500 tournament. Horecki, on the other hand, was over the moon, as this wasn’t just the first bracelet for him, but it is the first WSOP bracelet for Poland.

Is this the start of a comeback for Mike Matusow? Will he manage to finally capture another bracelet before the 2023 WSOP is over? Only time will tell, but you can make sure you aren’t missing out on any of the big moments by signing up for PokerGO and enjoying extensive day-to-day coverage of this year’s World Series.
