Women’s Bootcamp by PokerStars Wraps Up With Showdown in Cyprus

As the winner of the Cyprus Showdown, Louise Ulrick gets to play in the upcoming PokerStars EPT Prague Main Event.

The Women’s Bootcamp, put together by PokerStars and Poker Power, saw its big conclusion in Cyprus earlier this week. The Bootcamp gathered female poker enthusiast from all over the globe for an 8-week experience focused on improving different areas of their poker game. In the end, ten participants were selected for the final showdown in Cyprus.

The Cyprus Showdown came with a big promise, as the eventual winner was to receive an entry for the EPT Prague Main Event, allowing one participant to test their newly-found skills in one of the biggest live tournaments around.

When it was all said and done, that opportunity went to Louise Ulrick. Ulrick managed to outlast the other nine players and will receive a full package for the upcoming EPT Prague event, covering the €5300 Main Event entry, travel, and accommodations.

For a former math teacher turned consultant, this will be by far the biggest and most significant experience of her poker career, coming on the heels of the Bootcamp that, in her own words, helped her learn a lot about herself.

PokerStars has put a lot of effort towards bringing more women to the green felt, and we’ll probably see more initiatives like this one in the near future. With overwhelmingly positive feedback from the participants and the general poker public, it is clear that we need more similar events.

PokerStars Giving Away Power Path Passes in Mini EPT

On top of over $330k in guarantees, PokerStars is adding a bunch of Power Path tickets and Passes across the 15-event schedule.

As the EPT Cyprus kicks off, PokerStars is throwing an online event for all those watching from homes and wanting to get in on some action. The Mini EPT series, running October 18 — 22, features 15 individual events and over $300k in guaranteed prizes, but that is not all.

There are Power Path tickets added to every event, giving players a shot at some extra value. Bronze, Silver, and even Gold Passes are up for grabs, making Mini EPT a must-play, especially if you’re an EV-conscious player. The value is too good to pass on.

What’s even better is that all tournaments come with a very affordable price tag, mostly ranging between $1 and $11. There is one $25 event, and the Main Event has a “big” $55 buy-in but offers a hefty guarantee of $125,000 and has an extremely valuable Gold Pass thrown into the mix.

There are several tournaments taking place every day, but the action heats up on Friday and Saturday, while Sunday is reserved for the $55 Main Event and the $5.50 Mini Main Event, both of which have an added Gold Pass, so try and make some time in your schedule, as these two are definitely worth your time.
