Jonathan Little Claims the 2024 PokerGO Cup

With his triumph in Event #8, Jonathan Little secured the PokerGO Cup and moved to the third spot on the season-long PGT leaderboard.

Jonathan Little has once again proven skills on the felt, claiming the 2024 PokerGO Cup. The high stakes tournament player and a founder of a popular poker training site, Little triumphed ahead of formidable competition with two wins and four cashes in total.

The US pro stamped his victory on Saturday when he triumphed in a $25,200 event, outlasting the other 54 players. The final table featured many big names, such as Stephen Chidwick, Seth Davies, Justin Saliba, and Justin Zaki, who was the last obstacle on Jonathan’s way to the title.

With this win, Little’s winnings for the competition added up to $730,350, and this was enough for him to claim the PokerGO Cup and the $25,000 prize reserved for the winner.

The season-long PokerGO Tour leaderboard now has Jonathan Little in third place, trailing David Coleman and Kristen Foxen.

Of course, with the new season just starting, there are many more events to look forward to, and we’ll see quite a few leaderboard movements before it is all said and done, but Coleman, Foxen, and Little are certainly off to a good start!

Phil Galfond Brings Inside Scoop of the Isildur1 Story

Check out the story of Viktor 'Isildur1' Blom told by Phil Galfond, a man who got to know the young Swedish phenom away from the virtual felt.

The story of ‘Isildur1,’ the unknown player who made the biggest upset in the history of high-stakes online poker, has been told and retold countless times. But it’s one of those stories that you can just listen to again and again, especially when it’s coming from Phil Galfond.

Unlike many who talked about Viktor Blom and his exploits, Galfond is one of those who actually played ‘Isildur1’ during his crazy run, and in his recent video, he remembers those long-gone moments that are still etched in his memory.

It’s an interesting take on this old story, coming from someone who was in the middle of it all, playing the man and talking to other high-stakes regulars, trying to figure out who Isildur1 was and what to make of his insanely aggressive style.

Whether you are already quite familiar with the story or don’t know much about it, you’ll enjoy this short video by Galfond where, among other things, he recounts the most memorable session of his poker career and coming from a player of his stature and reputation, this tells a lot.

But this story goes beyond online happenings, as Phil ended up becoming friends with Blom and had the opportunity to see behind the curtain, getting a unique insight into Viktor’s passion for the game and his personality away from the tables.

It’s an inside scoop of one of the biggest poker legends (even if he didn’t hang around for that long), so if you love the tales of poker history, you’ll enjoy every minute of this video!
