Daniel Negreanu Reveals His WSOP 2024 Plans

Daniel Negreanu has announced his personal schedule for the 2024 WSOP, aiming to play in 45 bracelet events this summer.

Now that the cat is finally out of the bag and the full 2024 WSOP schedule has been released, players across the globe can start making plans and preparations for the summer.

While there are some players who like to wing it for the World Series, Daniel Negreanu isn’t one of them. The Canadian pro has a very meticulous approach to the Series, planning well ahead and usually keeping a daily vlog to document his efforts.

It seems that the 2024 WSOP won’t be an exception to this rule. Although the schedule has been out for barely a full day, Negreanu has already tweeted out what his plans will look like come summer.

There are 45 events in total that Negreanu will aim for, but the final number tally could be lower, depending on the developments. There are quite a few non-Hold’em events on the list, which is hardly a surprise as Kid Poker is not a one-trick pony by any means.

Playing in these tournaments will also give Negreanu a better shot at a bracelet or two since, unlike most Hold’em tournaments at the WSOP, these don’t attract such massive fields.

The 2024 World Series of Poker is still quite a bit away, but the excitement is already starting to build up. Hopefully, Daniel will find some time in his busy schedule to do his daily vlog again this year as, in addition to the official coverage, this has become a go-to place for the fans to keep up with important happenings during the WSOP.

$10M on Offer in GGPoker Masters Overlay Edition

GGPoker will be throwing one of the most valuable online tournaments in 2024, with a big overlay almost guaranteed!

GGPoker is celebrating the fourth anniversary of its Masters freezeout event with a massive Overlay Edition tournament offering a guarantee of $10,000,000.

Featuring several Day 1s between February 18 — 26, the GGMasters Overlay Edition comes with a very affordable buy-in of $150 and no re-entries allowed, making it very likely the guarantee won’t be reached (hence the name).

Although this is a freezeout event, you can buy into every individual Day 1 once, and there are nine opportunities in total, although they’ve been scheduled to accommodate different time zones.

If $150 is too big of a buy-in to pay straight up, don’t worry — there are qualifiers starting as low as $0.25, giving you a chance to build up to the seat.

Considering the fact it would take over 72,000 entries to meet the guarantee, the tournament will almost certainly have an overlay and offer additional value for all participants, making it a must-play, whether you’re a recreational player who dabbles in MTTs or a serious pro.

Head on over to GGPoker right now, sign up for an account if you don’t have one yet, and get ready for one of the most valuable tournaments we’ll see in 2024!

Player Has $700k Confiscated by PartyPoker

PartyPoker confiscated the record amount, claiming that ‘Exodus944’ broke terms and conditions by providing a fake document.

Having money confiscated by a poker site is no fun, especially when the amount in question is $700,000. Yet, one player has had that very experience where PartyPoker confiscated $707,000 from his account, receiving very little explanation as to the reason why.

The story, which you can read in detail over at pokerfuse, is that the player ‘*Exodus944*’ got lucky and won a $1,000,000 jackpot in a $100 Spins sit & go. Originally from Romaina, ‘Exodus944’ moved to Dublin and got his Ireland address confirmed using an electricity bill in his name, although he was staying at a friend’s house.

Initially, Party Poker accepted this, and he had no problems for over a year, regularly grinding Spins on the site. Then, in October 2022, he won the $1,000,000 jackpot. After the big win, he took a step away from online play, focusing more on live poker and gradually withdrawing his big win.

However, in February 2023, things took a turn for the worse, as his account was locked with $707,000 still in it, and the operator cited fake documents as a reason — the previously submitted and accepted electricity bill proving the player’s address.

What followed was a lot of back and forth, including the alleged offer by Party Poker to pay out all but $100,000, which was then rescinded. Soon after, the company reached out to the player to communicate that they considered the matter closed, i.e., the money was permanently confiscated.

It seems ‘Exodus944’ will now be taking things to court and seeking legal remedies, having hit a brick wall with the company and eCOGRA, which ruled that PartyPoker’s decision was within the bounds of their terms and conditions.

It will be very interesting to see what happens next. PartyPoker is yet to come out with any kind of official response or comment, but the 2+2 thread where the player shared his story with the public has picked up a lot of traction.

All in all, it took nearly 100 days of streaming and playing to reach the goal, but yesterday, Fabian published on his Twitter that the challenge was finally completed and the goal reached!

In addition to diversifying his content, Sebastian wanted to show that it was still possible to build your poker bankroll in 2024 if you are willing to put in the time and work required, follow strict bankroll guidelines, and always look for tournaments offering the best value.

Along the way, the PokerStars Team Pro provided its audience with many exciting moments and a host of invaluable tips for those starting out in poker, showing that nothing is impossible if you really set your mind on it.

Accumulating a $10k bankroll may seem like a far-fetched dream right now, but if you’d like to try a bankroll challenge of your own, PokerStars is the place to do it, offering some of the best value low buy-in tournaments in existence.
