Dan Shak Scaling Back On Poker Moving Forward

Getting older, Shak has other priorities in life.

Sometimes when one is running bad they say things they don’t mean. Wall street wizard turned professional amateur poker pro Dan Shak has not had a good start to his action-packed World Series of Poker and in this video interview with Thomas Keeling from Bluff Magazine he states that after this year, we’ll be seeing less of him.

Shak, a major advocate of the game, says that he’s got some other priorities in life now that he’s getting on in age (aren’t we all though) and that means the he’s unlikely to make it out to Vegas for all the events like he has in the past. Don’t worry, the high-rolling beast is not quitting, just being more selective. Guess we’ll have to wait until next year to see if he really means it, or it’s the downswing talking.
