Maria Konnikova Finishes Her Highly Anticipated Poker Book, “The Biggest Bluff”

Since 2017 Maria Konnikova has been officially working on her new book, The Biggest Bluff, that would document her journey in the poker world—a “year-in-the-life” look at the live poker pro circuit.

Poker Hall of Fame inductee Erik Seidel has been her mentor from the start.

Konnikova went from strength to strength taking down prestigious poker tournaments and as a result getting signed as a PokerStars Ambassador. She now has $296,267 in live tournament earnings to her name.

But in the most exciting news, Konnikova has put the finishing touches to her highly anticipate manuscript.

The poker community were quick to jump on twitter to congratulate the author and poker pro—her comments section a veritable who’s who of poker alumni.

Back in 2017 Konnikova said that she thinks Sidel will reclaim the number 1 all-time money title from Daniel Negreanu by the time her book is out. Looking at the stats as of today, that looks like a long shot for many reasons.

In July 2018 Justin Bonomo clinched the top spot knocking Negreanu down into second place. Since then Negreanu has slipped into third place, as Bryn Kenney sits in the top spot. Kenney took down the Triton High Roller in the summer which saw him win over $20 million in prize money—jumping from 6th to 1st place on the all-time money list.

Seidel sits in 5th place, $20 million behind the top spot.
