New Poker Reality Show by Winamax Going Live on Wednesday

Premiering on January 31, Poker Society is yet another show with reality TV elements added to the mix.

If you enjoyed GGPoker’s Game of Gold show, you’ll be delighted that another similar project is in the works and set to start airing on Wednesday, January 31. The show in question is a French production backed by Winamax, dubbed Poker Society.

The show will gather 10 competitors in an abandoned hangar to compete in a series of challenges for the first prize of €100,000. Unlike the Game of Gold, however, Poker Society will host competitors who don’t have a poker background, i.e., streamers, gamers, and artists.

From the trailer, it seems the show will feature some stunning visual and audio effects to take the viewing experience to a whole new level. As for the content, we know the players will face each other on the green felt in some fashion, but there isn’t much info out there beyond that.

Poker Society aims to bring a different kind of entertainment, putting inexperienced players in a competitive environment to see who can handle the pressure best.

It’s an interesting concept that builds upon the idea of a blend of poker and reality TV, so make sure to tune in to Winamax’s YouTube channel on January 31 for the first episode. It should be a blast!
